This article describes general questions of the development of the modern domestic medical diagnostic ultrasound devices (MDUSD) of the expert class. The current paper is intended to help Russian developers design their own competitive MDUSD of the expert class. The hardware consists of three parts. The first part is US probes, which are chosen from Medelcom products. The second part is a transmit/receive module (TRM). We suggest creating it on TI elements. And the last part is a specialized computational system (SCS), which encompass FPGA Kintex-7, multi-core processor TMS320C6416 and PC. Computational power of the SCS should be enough for providing simultaneous processes, such as an US image synthesis, a Doppler measurements and velocity estimation technique, necessary computations for modern medical methods, a 3D image synthesis, and a graphical user interface. Computational power reserve allows a long lifecycle. The MDUSD development requires a sufficient amount of specialists with various qualifications. For the accomplishment of this project in short time and to reduce risks developers need to create and follow a rational development plan. In order to reduce development costs it is reasonable to use all hardware, software and toolkits they already have. An important way of reducing cost of the MDUSD development is its integration with the development of ideologically close systems, such as US defectoscopes and radio-wave systems.
