The authors analyze the theoretical prerequisites for the use of various nonlinear acoustics methods during mineral benefication and non-chemical treatment of industrial waste-water. They provide the results of industrial tests of the platiniferous sands primary benefication technique using a sluice attachment equipped with sound-emitting devices which allow increasing the extraction of fine fractions of bullion platinum by 75%. In order to improve the efficiency of nonchemical water treatment and removal of superfine suspended particles in the series of horizontal flow sedimentation tanks (by 30–40%), the authors specify the basic stages and modes of sonic action and recommend an optimal set of conversion sonic equipment.
