Viana E.B. «Wheel acoustic simulation: development of a FEM model with infinite elements» Транспорт Урала, № 2, с. 32-35 (2012)
To reduce a three-dimension finite element model of wheel we develop models based of infinite elements. These elements will be user as boundary region, and will be base of the far field calculation. It was used to calculate vibration response by using of FEM established (finite element method), and an the infinite element model is for vibration response velocity achieved from FEM on the wheel as the boundary condition. On previous research, the models were too big and calculation times were really high. With this new report the aim was to develop smaller models that will be suitable to calculate frequencies higher than 1500Hz that was a limit we established for the previous models. This study expected to lay a foundation for an analysis and design optimization of acoustic radiation for random vibration wheel.
