The practice of operating nuclear power plants (NPPs) shows that flows of coolant induce mechanical vibrations of the equipment and its components. For the prediction and prevention resonances of vibration with acoustical oscillation of coolant need to know the natural frequency oscillations of the equipment and its elements and their compounds, as well as the natural frequency of the coolant pressure oscillation (NFCPO) in a variety of operational and emergency modes, i.e., vibrational-acoustical certificate of NPP equipment must be created. Vibrational-acoustical certification NPP deliberately not carried out, because it is not mandatory design and regulatory documentation. Analysis of parameters of acoustic systems with single-phase and two-phase fluids is based on the theory of elastic wave propagation in liquids and gases, the equation of state of the liquid, the equations of motion, continuity equation and the equation expressing the law of conservation of energy. The paper describes the legality of the method of electro-acoustic analogies to calculate the parameters of systems of NPP with single-phase and two-phase heat transfer medium. It is shown that an important step in the development of methods for analyzing acoustic systems of coolant in the nuclear power plant is a study of electro-acoustic analogy to the one-dimensional two-phase medium pulsating flow. The results are intended to support: the integrity of the main equipment of nuclear power plants constructed in the lifetime of 60–80 years; extending the operation of existing units beyond the design lifetime; the possibility of prediction and prevention of vibration-acoustic resonances in the nuclear power plant in maneuvering equipment and emergency modes, as well as shock and seismic loads.
