Photoacoustic method of determining transparent film thickness within optical range. The method was based on recording interference picture in film transmission spectrum by measuring intensity of passed through the film light by photoacoustic method. Formulae for calculation of elasticity theory were presented. Circuit of measuring device, piezocounter design, curve of spectral dependence of photoacoustic signal were given.

The synchronizer served for loss modulation in laser resonator and thus to form light short pulse train. It was shown to be made of crystalline quartz with temperature factor of acoustic resonance shift less by half than in case of melted one. Moreover, it could be used in powerful laser systems especially in ultraviolet range. Synchronizer’s dimensions and basic frequency of piezotransformer of lithium mobate permitted to use it in powerful lasers with active medium up to 0–15 mm a resonator length of 1–10 m. Control block included: quartz generator, amplifier of 25 Wt for load of 10–100 Ohm, recording system of high-frequency synchronizer-reflected power, temperature control block.

The block was designed for forming radiofrequency signal the amplitude of which was proportional to input signal. Carrier frequency was 80±0.5 MHz (160±1 MHz); frequency drift and extraneous frequency modulation was <0.5%; maximal peak output power was 5 Wt (2.5 Wt); manual adjustment of output power was 10 dB; modulation depth of output radiofrequency signal was 99%; non-linearity of modulation property in dynamic range was 20dB±5%; modulation frequency band by level of 1 dB was 0-10 MHz; amplitude of modulating signal at input resistance of 75 Ohm was 0–1.4 V; amplitude stability of output signal in case of any fixed level output power was ±2%.
